Saturday, October 1, 2022, was marked by abundance and celebration. The courtyard of our Pálffy Manor hosted the very first Oktoberfest dedicated to authentic craft beer from Pálffy Brauerei Brewery. For excellent atmosphere, outstanding refreshments, and authentic music, you did not need to travel all the way to Munich—you simply had to visit us in Svätý Jur.

Pálffy Brauerei beers are exceptional not only for their authentic craft taste and recipes, but also for their imaginative names, which have earned them the nickname “Habsburgs.”
You had the opportunity to taste Jozef’s Refreshing Snack, the light lager Fit for the Emperor (Franz Joseph), Lotharingian-style weizen, Terka’s Dark Sip, Rudy’s Adventurous IPA, and the special Sisi’s Whim, which delighted every beer enthusiast. However, Rudy’s Adventurous IPA quenched the most thirst—a semi-dark, top-fermented IPA (Indian Pale Ale) that derives its distinctive flavor and aroma from the cold-hopping process.

Great beer called for good food, which our Hey You FoodCar provided. Among the most popular treats were homemade pretzels, savory pastries, crispy roasted potatoes, and sweet delights—poppy seed and apple strudel.

Ivan Bindas—Binďo—hosted the program, while Svetlana Rymarenko and Juraj Zaujec BAND provided the musical entertainment. Their performance was authentic and entertaining, complete with yodeling and traditional costumes. Throughout the day, you had the opportunity to participate in competitions with us, which made for wonderful entertainment. There was also a rich program for children and face painting.

We hope this inaugural event will launch a tradition of similar occasions at our manor.
