It has been five years since this world-renowned culinary star last visited Slovakia. With his Back to the Roots show, then a holder of four Michelin stars, he appeared at Hotel Lomnica. This time, he will present his Italian temperament and experiential gastronomy in Slovakia twice, and in addition to the Tatras, he will also appear in the kitchen of Pálffy Manor.
A star-studded return to the roots,
Enrico Bartolini, currently the holder of 13 Michelin stars, comes from Tuscany, Italy, and entered the world of haute cuisine despite originally wanting to follow his father into the shoemaking trade. He honed his culinary skills under the most acclaimed masters in Paris and London. He launched his exceptional career in Italy in 2005, when he took over the leadership of the Le Robinie restaurant. It is precisely the dishes from this restaurant’s menu that form the foundation of his Back to the Roots culinary show. He will bring it to Slovakia as early as October, appearing at two venues—Hotel Lomnica in Tatranská Lomnica and here at Pálffy Manor.
A successful visionary
The Italian chef is currently among the most respected chefs in the world. With his 13 Michelin stars, he is also the most successful Italian chef, and he has made gastronomic history by being the only person in the world to receive as many as four stars at once. To date, his signature can be found at 10 venues across Italy, with three more in Dubai, Hong Kong, and Bali, and several of them hold the title of a “Michelin-starred restaurant”. His guiding philosophy is “to be modern classic”. In his kitchens, he therefore combines tradition with innovation and constant experimentation, with the aim of creating new flavours full of memories.
A world-class experience in Slovakia
Enrico Bartolini will begin his small Slovak “tour” on 19 October 2024 at Hotel Lomnica. He will then move to western Slovakia, where he will present his Back to the Roots show here as well in Svätý Jur, on 21 October 2024. The five-course tasting menu, prepared with the support of the team from our fine-dining restaurant ARTE, will be complemented by wine pairing from our VIAJUR winery.
